Top 3 points for Sellers!

Thinking of selling either now or in the near future? This may be your first time selling your largest asset and you will most likely have a myriad of questions and concerns. To simplify the process the following are three key points you should focus on;

1. Find a realtor who you think will do the best job. Don't make that decision based on the fact that their evaluation may have a higher price or lower commission but rather on how they will market your home. Some aspects of marketing your home include scheduling showings, relaying feedback, and ensuring your safety.

2. Price your home based on the current market conditions that will make your property stand out and achieve a quicker sale. This can be done by having a comprehensive market evaluation done by the realtor you have chosen can accomplish this. Remember, its the market that drives price not the realtor.

3. This may be third on my list, but maximize the potential of your home. In other words, take the time to make sure the important features are all in good working order and that your home is clean and well maintained. Spending a few dollars, but not breaking the bank, can enhance the saleability of your property and help alleviate any fears a buyer may have.

Obviously selling your home is a complex matter, but hiring a professional who will guide through the process will make this experience not only a positive one, but also protect the value of one of your largest assets. Never underestimate the importance of an experienced professional no matter how big or small your sale is.
